How it works – NGSU Commission Rebate Scheme

Easy 4-Step Process

NGSU - How it works

The Details

We pay an exclusive 50% commission rebate to you in four easy steps:

  1. Complete a short online form here with your details and the type of insurance you need – this should take around 5-10 minutes. You are also welcome to call us if you get stuck (0208 610 9811). You must be an NGSU member to be eligible and your close family members are also eligible too.
  1. You will receive a Premium Comparison Document, usually within a few hours, with quotes from insurers across the market and an estimate of your commission rebate. You can find details of each provider’s covers here. Next, you simply reply by e-mail or phone to let us know which provider & product you’d like to go ahead with.
  1. An application pack is emailed to you to complete, which includes a medical questionnaire – this will either be completed by paper or via the insurer’s online system. You will also need to provide us with a Proof of ID and Proof of Address (scanned copies are fine). We will let you know the next steps.
  1. Your application is submitted for medical underwriting. If a GP Report is requested by the insurer, this may take a few weeks so we will chase this in the background for you. Once underwriting has completed and your policy is accepted, your 50% commission rebate will be paid to NGSU three months after your policy start date. Subsequently NGSU will arrange payment to the NGSU member directly.

Please note the commission rebate is subject to a commission clawback period (“indemnity period”) of 48 months for all policies except for ASU cover, which is 12 months. If the policy is allowed to lapse, or is cancelled, or if for any other reason the chosen Insurance Company seeks to recover the commission paid to IFSWP during this period, then we will invoice you for the refund even if you subsequently cease employment with Nationwide or leave NGSU.

This is a non-advised service, which means that no financial advice is given to the suitability of the products, but we have some case studies and useful information on the website to help you decide on the right product.

If you’re still unsure, we offer an advised service but the commission rebate is reduced to just 10%. Or if you have any other questions, please feel free to call us on 0208 610 9811 (Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm) or e-mail us on .
